I’ll Be There Y’all!
I’m so excited for the Texas Style Council Conference (TxSC) which is taking place in Austin, TX next weekend. Myself and 250 other women bloggers will be trekking to the lone star state to get the tricks of the trade on how to become better bloggers, all while networking with ladies from across the country (and the Canadian border). However this conference is different, in which it is also targeting shop owners and online boutiques. So while us bloggers are getting our knowledge on, so are the small business owners. This also creates a great space for the business to connect with the blogger, creating lasting relations that could be beneficial to both parties. Neat right?!
From Friday, March 9th to Monday the 12th the attendees will be participating in many activities and events. From a clothes swap hosted by Swap.com and Lulu*s, to a boutique and thrift crawl around downtown Austin, to a Posh Party hosted by Poshmark. And that’s not even including the Social Media Symposium or the speed mentoring breakfast with some pretty influential bloggers and companies. The TxSC conference is basically a who’s who of bloggers and companies, such as Tieka of Selective Potential, Andrea of Blonde Bedhead and Kendi of Kendi Everyday to name a few. And the companies? Reps from rewardStyle, Refinery 29 andTeen Vogue will be speaking or acting as mentors throughout the weekend.
Now if I only knew what to pack? That alone is a task I’m not ready to face but I’ve got a Skype date scheduled for next week with my blogger friend Rachael, of Rachael, Really to assist in the mission. Think I’m over reacting? Now way! The TxSC Conference is the New York Fashion Week for the girl next door. You can quote me on that!
