What I Wore

When: August 22, 2011

Why hello there! To frequent visitors: welcome back. To all the newbies out there: WELCOME! Take a seat, have a drink and get comfortable:)

This past weekend I finally got my copy of Jessica Quirk’s personal style book What I Wore: Four Seasons, One Closet, Endless Recipes for Personal Style. I know, I know, its about time!

I snagged it up Saturday, sat at the kitchen table and read from cover to cover. Loves it! Synopsis? A guide on how to remix what you’ve got in the good ol’ closet of yours. But first, you must have the basics!

Jessica breaks down some work appropriate must-haves that should be included into your summer wardrobe rotation. Take my outfit for example: printed tank and solid cardigan (in this case my light F21 jacket). Then add a full skirt and oxford flats that will transition well into the Fall season.

Wearing Tube top: Rue21, Skirt: Burlington Coat Factory, Blazer: Forever21, Belt: Unknown, Shoes: DSW, Necklace: Forever21

I also spent this weekend exploring my creative juices. DIY post to come;)

How did you spend you spend your weekend? Anything exciting?
