The ‘WOW’ Factor

 photo IMG_4129_zpseb6a712f.jpg

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: it’s becoming really difficult to dress myself. Let me rephrase that statement: it’s becoming extremely tough to bring the ‘WOW’ factor in my daily outfits. This in turn is making it very problematic to be a source of inspiration here on FabAve. With a limited wardrobe and the strict shopping ban put in to effect (as of this weekend) getting dressed has develop into something I loathe. Now that’s not to say that I need a new item of clothing to seem current or on trend but something new always makes getting dressed more fun, am I right (materialism at its finest)? I really try to bring originality, inspiration, and novelty to each and every outfit I post here on Fabulously Average but my restrictions are just that, restrictions. I think I’ve stated before that this time in my pregnancy is a lot like a 30 for 30 challenge - remixing and re-working a certain collection of pieces to become new ensembles, and I’m realizing now that I’m just going to have to deal. So enjoy this mediocre look of a classic pairing of red and animal print. At least you can never go wrong with that combo;)

Thanks for visiting, friends!

My Two Cents

I don’t have much to say about this ensemble except that I really like the color combination of pink and green together. I wore it to support blogger friend Katie of Running on Happiness at the Chandler Mall Top Shop event this past weekend. I might have walked away with a cute shirt, or two but that’s neither here nor there. So I’ll leave you with those groundbreaking observations and hope that you exercised your right to vote either today or during the early voting period. Whether a Democrat, Republican or Independent, as American’s we have the responsibility and privilege to elect our Nation’s President, so don’t throw away that freedom.

As always, thanks for stopping by!

In the Navy

As the temperatures drop here in Arizona (slowly but surely) I find myself gravitating toward rich, saturated colors in vibrant oranges, radiant emeralds and deep blues. What’s more enticing to this fashionista’s heart is the aforementioned hues in monochromatic pairings! So sharp, so polished and soo very New York City. Navy blue has never been my go-to color du jour but I thought it was finally appropriate (and not crazy) to don on this H&M blazer I picked up almost 2 months ago (I like to be prepared, okay!). I am loving the understated everyday look of this outfit. Perfect for a casual Friday at the office, or in my case causal Thursday. Minimal effort with maximum style. BOOM.

Polka Dot Peplum

Another day, another polka dot peplum top. Mind you, I was unaware of this obsession. And what’s more, remember this outfit? Yep. Polka dot peplum numbero tres. For a trend I was uncertain of I sure seem to have an affinity of peplum. Oh the fickle mind of a style blogger.

Is there a trend that’s given you a change of heart? Do share!
