If you haven’t yet heard, ModCloth, the vintage-inspired online shop, is coming out with their first premiere collection! How exciting is that! The Make The Cut Collection was actually brought together by ModCloth founder, Susan Gregg Koger, who posted a competition to aspiring designers back in December on ModCloth’s blog. Contestants of all ages submitted 5 sketches inspired by Kroger’s mood board and from there the selection process was underway. The winners sketches were then made into reality and added to the Spring 2012 collection! Talk about catapulting your career!
The old Hollywood inspired collection is elegant and beautiful- complete with summery sundress, timeless silhouettes, capped sleeves, vintage floral patterns and full skirts perfect for strolls around the park. The collection will be available for purchase later this month, but you can head on over to the ModCloth site now and sign up to be the first to receive email notification of its availability.
Why am I so enthused about collections debut? Well because a couple weeks back, ModCloth reached out to bloggers around the nation to announce the Make The Cut Polyvore Blogger Contest. Bloggers chose their favorite Make the Cut piece and styled an outfit around said piece with other ModCloth items. Essentially, two bloggers were chosen as winners and yours truly was named one of the winners! Yay for me! My prize? I was able to choose an item from the Make the Cut Collection! Yay for me again! I can’t wait for the collection to be released so that I could receive my chosen dress, the Beauty in the Air Dress in Delphinium. A wonderful addition to my summer sundress collection, for sure.
