Mood Lifter

It’s strange to wake up on a Monday morning and feel happy and ready for the day. Well, at least for me. With pregnancy fatigue, the feeling of doom when faced with a packed work day, and an overall feeling of anxiety a smile in the morning is a rarity. However I had this tunic to look forward to; I knew I would be wearing it on Monday as a way to cheer myself up. With the pretty color and the summery fabric this tunic is just the perfect mood lifter, don’t you think?

Tastemaker

Happy Friday dear friends! Thanks for stopping by for another Friday here on FabAve! If you haven’t noticed already, today I will be forgoing the usual Friday’s Fun Five post for my recap on last night’s Tastemakers event, along with an outfit post on what I wore to the event. I know, an outfit post on a Friday? It’s been a while!

As you can tell I went for a light, casual look for my ensemble to yesterday’s event. I wanted to evoke a trendy yet laid-back vibe and think I achieved it with this super cute Target peplum top and the white denim. I kept the color pallet light, as I’d try anything to stay cool from the 106° we experienced yesterday and kept my accessories at at a minimum, with my necklace making it’s needed statement.

Pajama Party

Happy Monday my lovelies! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend spent with good food, good friends and great outfits!! Now let me preface this post by stating that I was never convinced by the whole pajama trend. I’m obviously more of a skinny jean girl myself, but when I saw these slouchy trousers on sale I just had to give them a try. And you want to know a secret? Their totally a new favorite! Perfect for hot summer days and I could already see the countless possibilities for the Fall!

I wore this ensemble on Saturday for dinner and drinks and wanted to keep things low key but with a bit of spunk. There is absolutely nothing high maintenance about this outfit and the ‘after-hours’ vibe it evoked was totally what I was going for. I wore them again yesterday but went with a more summer resort feel to the look.
