There’s something to be said about the rush one get’s after purchasing a good sale item. Not to mention the satisfaction of victory when said item is one you had your eye on while it was at full price. I conquered this Old Navy dress a couple weeks back while window shopping. I certainly couldn’t pass up a price tag of $11.97. I had originally fallen in love with the vibrant color but also loved the modest silhouette and length, perfect for any office fashionista.
Today I wanted to share two ways I styled up this little ditty over the weekend. Yep that’s right, I wore it for a low key date night with the fella on Saturday then again on Sunday for church and shopping. A good bang for my buck, if you ask me.
I fully intend on wearing this blouse well in to the coming season. The bright, cheery color obviously didn’t stop me from making the purchase so late in the summer, so I knew I would have to transition the piece for Fall and winter. My plan of attack? Adding a navy blaze and cute booties to evolve the look from Summer to Fall in a matter of minutes. I’m clearly well versed in the Scout motto: ‘Always be prepared’. Us blogger, we have our own motto. What is that you ask? Always look fierce, of course;)
While a big, roomy bag is perfect for toting all the important stuff like your day planner, a book or even a first aid kit (not kidding!), not all occasions call for a massive carry-on. Now and then a girl needs a simple clutch to hold just the essentials, so today I thought I’d share with you some of my favorites from my very own collection. All very affordable and some even helping save the world!
