Double Duty

During the last couple of weeks I’ve mentioned countless times that my closet is slowly shrinking while my belly is quickly growing. I’ve had to resort to improvisation and playing around with my existing wardrobe instead of going out and purchasing new items. This ‘tunic’ isn’t really a tunic but a risqué dress I already owned (last worn here and here). It was the perfect little number for a classic date night of dinner and a movie with the fella this past Saturday. This is double duty at its finest, my friends!

Hello, I’m a Nerd

Today I bring you another outfit from our San Diego trip. On this particular day the fella and I went to Sea World for what seemed like the entire day. Man, is that place massive! Thank goodness I wore my sneakers for the trek up and down steep hills to visit our friends of the sea. If you haven’t noticed from our previous adventures I’m big on the whole tourist experience. I love taking in the sites and experiencing the culture, it’s so stimulating! That last sentence was code for: I’m a huge nerd. But it’s all good because I’ve got a nerdy husband that enjoys it also and will groom Baby Girl Mason to be a nerd as well;)

If you follow me on Twitter or on Instagram (joannealma) then you might be aware that this past weekend the boy and I spent a lovely mini vacation in San Diego to celebrate our birthdays. We had such an amazing time playing tourists and taking in the sites; I’m so sad to be back at work today. On this particular evening we drove into downtown San Diego for a romantic dinner, just the two of us. It’s strange to think that soon it won’t be just the two of us, which get’s me thinking about these last precious moments before the arrival of Baby Girl Mason. While I’m uber excited to finally meet the rambunctious little thing inside of me, I’m nervous for what He has in store for the foundation of our family - the relationship between the fella and I.

New parents, how was the transition between a family of two to a family of three?
