Bang Bang

Notice anything different? I finally got my haircut! I obviously didn’t go too drastic with the length, just a miner trim, but the bangs make up for my cowardice. I decided on the jet black color at last minute too. I feel so refreshed and renewed, it’s funny. I also feel like the bangs require a more risqué and edgy outfit but I dressed myself pre haircut. The bold lip did the trick though for dinner and a movie with the fella. I think a total closet reorganization is in order, you know, to introduce my wardrobe to the bangs.

Playing Favorites

Yesterday I had the perfect outfit picked out for the day ,until I realized it required ironing and I was running late. #ClassicJoanne. So what do I throw on to recover from outfit heartbreak? Why some of my favorite pieces, of course! After getting these cropped pants altered to fit my lack of calves better they easily became a summer staple. I’ve styled them up with just about everything in my closet – stripes, florals, even a little dot on dot action. So when I went for them yesterday morning I knew I wanted to style them up with a little lace and a dash of animal print. This tee has also become a staple - girly details, comfy fit and a touch of lace? Ah-dorable! What more can a girl ask for?

Fall State of Mind

If you can’t tell by this outfit, I’m in a Fall state of mind. I’m ready for jewel tones, knit sweaters and boots; completely over pastels, sandals and bare arms. Mind you, there is still a while before Fall hits Arizona – I’m talking at least 3 months.Depressing for someone who’s already started working on her Fall wardrobe. I made some key purchase at H&M last week and plan on incorporating the Fall pieces into my Summer wardrobe. What are transition pieces for but to bridge the gap between the seasons, am I right?

These pants are one of those ‘transition’ items.I’m in love with the color and can’t wait to pair them with other jewel tone pieces. I tried to resemble Summer by incorporating both a sleeveless shirt and trench, however there’s no denying the fact that there is a Fall vibe going on with this look. Oh well, you can’t win the mall.

I wore this ensemble on Thursday for dinner and drinks with fellow Phoenix bloggers Katie, Ashley and Sarah. We met up at The Mission in Scottsdale, a modern Latin cuisine restaurant where the drinks are toxic and the tacos are finger lickin’ good! It was such a great time to catch up and chat about the blogosphere, fashion and out lives. Hope to meet up with them in the future!

Backwards

Sometimes an easy statement dress is just what one needs to kick start their day into gear. I know I needed this colorful Old Navy number to ramp up my day and realized only after I’d left the house and had been in the office for at least an hour that it was on backwards. Touché Wednesday morning, touché. However I’m digging the boat neck feel of the dress while backwards. I guess you can always find a new way to wear an old item.

Happy almost Friday my lovelies!
