The ‘WOW’ Factor

 photo IMG_4129_zpseb6a712f.jpg

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: it’s becoming really difficult to dress myself. Let me rephrase that statement: it’s becoming extremely tough to bring the ‘WOW’ factor in my daily outfits. This in turn is making it very problematic to be a source of inspiration here on FabAve. With a limited wardrobe and the strict shopping ban put in to effect (as of this weekend) getting dressed has develop into something I loathe. Now that’s not to say that I need a new item of clothing to seem current or on trend but something new always makes getting dressed more fun, am I right (materialism at its finest)? I really try to bring originality, inspiration, and novelty to each and every outfit I post here on Fabulously Average but my restrictions are just that, restrictions. I think I’ve stated before that this time in my pregnancy is a lot like a 30 for 30 challenge - remixing and re-working a certain collection of pieces to become new ensembles, and I’m realizing now that I’m just going to have to deal. So enjoy this mediocre look of a classic pairing of red and animal print. At least you can never go wrong with that combo;)

Thanks for visiting, friends!

Hello, Wednesday

photo 26weeks_zps837b4fda.jpg

A simple outfit for your Wednesday, my friends. I hope everyone is having a good week. I apologize for the silence on my end today, there’s not much I can say about this ensemble. There are stripes (my fave), a hint of animal print (classic), and a little military green love. What’s not to love?

On another note, I’d like to wish my main squeeze, my best friend, the father of both my puppy babies and my unborn daughter a happy 28th birthday! I love you, stupid face! May this next year be one to remember as we open a totally new chapter in our lives together!

Yesterday I had the perfect outfit picked out for the day ,until I realized it required ironing and I was running late. #ClassicJoanne. So what do I throw on to recover from outfit heartbreak? Why some of my favorite pieces, of course! After getting these cropped pants altered to fit my lack of calves better they easily became a summer staple. I’ve styled them up with just about everything in my closet – stripes, florals, even a little dot on dot action. So when I went for them yesterday morning I knew I wanted to style them up with a little lace and a dash of animal print. This tee has also become a staple - girly details, comfy fit and a touch of lace? Ah-dorable! What more can a girl ask for?

The Final Countdown

Only two more days until the fella and I set out for our Great American Adventure and I can barely contain my excitement! We’re headed to meet my husband’s family to celebrate the birth of his aunt and father’s day. It will definitely be nice to be around family for a couple days.

Our first stop – the Grand Canyon! We’ve lived in AZ for nearly two years and haven’t made the trip up there, so I’m uber excited to experience the vast beauty first hand. Then we head North to Jackson Hole, Wyoming where we’ll be staying. I’m thrilled to be around all that nature! We plan on hitting Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone N.P., attending a rodeo sprinkled with some mild hiking and plenty of cribbage games (Mason family tradition). Last stop will be the four corners, where I plan on being in four places at once (Colorado, Utah, Arizona and New Mexico)!

Don’t worry, I’ll take plenty of pictures but if you’d like to follow along feel free to follow via Instagram (@joannealma)
