[Denim Revival] Another Casual Friday

When: December 2, 2011

A simple, warm outfit for a casual Friday at the office. Another Denim Revival post under my belt and my jeans and I are on good terms.

Happy Tuesday my friends!

Four Eyes

When: September 23, 2011

Another work week we has come and passed and here we are, another casual Friday. I decided to keep it simple yet put together for the office. Dark jeans always add more of a polish looked than the average light washed jeans, wouldn’t you agree? I also decided on this purple and navy striped tunic that I’ve had since my freshmen year of college. It’s always been one of my Fall go-to’s, as you will see in the months to come. Oh, and these are my new (prescription) glasses that I mentioned. I’m in love with the larger rectangular frames. They’re a great departure from my previous frames that were so thin I could barely could see through them. And the prescription is a lot clearer than my prior pair, which means you will see more shots with me in my glasses than in contacts. Sometimes your eyes need a break, don’t you think?

Ra-ma la-ma la-ma ka ding a da ding de dong

When: September 16, 2011

If you would’ve rummaged my closet a couple years ago there was no way you would have found a single pink item. I loathed the color. I think it had to do with the fact that my little sister Natalie had a bright pink room when we were younger. Seriously, it was florescent.

Pink is still not my favorite color but I have quite the collection of pink pieces in my wardrobe. My pink corduroys, this pink shirt, the hot pink vest from the other day, and my petal skirt. Oh, and I can’t forget my favorite blazer/jacket worn here, here and here. You might as well call me Barbie. OK, maybe that’s a stretch but you get what I’m sayin’. Right?

Anyways, today I feel like I need to attend a sock hop. You’ll find my with Sandy and the gang doing the jive and singing We Go Together. If you don’t know what movie I’m referencing I am really disappointed in you. Have a great weekend y’all!

Haboob

When: August 26, 2011

Here in Arizona we might not be dealing with hurricane winds and pouring down rain complements of Irene but we have quite the haboob storm happening.

It was casual Friday at the office, so I decided to keep it simple yet professional with this chambray-esq button-down shirt and the grey skinnies. I donned on my silly frames because, hey, it was Friday! As I was jetting out the door all my husband said was, “Really?”.

I hope every one’s week went smoothly but hope you have a fantastic weekend with food, drinks and great friends. That’s what I’m planning. But more about that in a later post. Ciao!
