[Review] eShakti

Photobucket

When the kind people of eShakti contacted me to review one of their customizable duds I jumped at the chance and I’m not regretting my decision one bit! A girl can never have enough dresses, and when they fit like a glove there’s more of a reason to stock up! This is dress is one of those curve hugging (work appropriate) showstoppers. I’m digging the color block shift and can see it becoming my work meeting go-to dress. Brains and beauty, my friends;)

Not familiar with eShakti? Well let me fill you in on the customizing gurus. At eShakti you have options - you can provide your measurements or can choose from their selection of standard sizes. Mix and match those options and pick your size, while also providing height and bust size for the perfect fit for you. A made to order wardrobe staple? Don’t mind if I do! But that’s not all. Once you’ve got your size all set up you can also customize sleeves, neckline, length? Done! Have I convinced you yet of their genius? I sure hope so!

Another Day…

…another guest post. It’s not that I don’t love you, I just really enjoy getting to spread my point of view across the blogosphere and it introduces you to an awesome blog!! Today I’m thrilled to be guest posting for sweet mama Blair over at Wild and Precious. So go do me and Blair a favor and head over to her blog and hear me ramble about two of summer’s dynamic duo: mint and fuchsia.

Off Duty

I always have a difficult time writing posts for Monday’s, especially if the outfit is from the weekend. My normal process tends to go like this: get dressed, go to work, write the post while at work, take outfit photos then set up the post for the next day. My blog juices are literally at their peak during business hours. But during the weekend, after two days on the couch and with my brain on neutral, I tend to be a little off. So my Monday posts are usually lacking a little something.

Like many bloggers, I usually don’t get online during the weekend as often as I do during the weekday. I like to spend my weekends with friends, the hubby and our pup Chandler. This weekend was no different. This past Saturday the fella and I took Chandler to the field by house. We enjoyed an afternoon outside then proceeded to dinner with friends, not without a glass of wine or two (or three). That night we took Chandler on a long walk to get some fro-yo and enjoy the warm, breezy night. Absolute perfection!

Happy Monday!!

30 for 30: New Kid on the (Color) Block

Worn July 5, 2011

I’ve admired bloggers that have successfully mastered the art of colorblocking (yes it is an art). And I consider it an art because a successful colorblocked outfit is done with unusual colors. Anyone could colorblock but there is something interesting and fascinating about someone that pairs clashing colors; it’s the same with mismatching patterns-bizarrely beautiful.

I have featured colorblocking in a Fierce Fashion Friday’s (FFF)post and since then I’ve been wanting to try it. In that post i observed certain standards that qualify a successful colorblocked ensemble. So here is my first attempt. Did I pull it off?

Wearing: blouse, petel skirt and necklace (F21), cardigan (Target), sandals (Old Navy), earrings (gifted)
