If you know me well then you might be aware that I’m a shopper. Well I guess you don’t really have to know me at all to identify a shopping problem, there’s plenty of evidence on this here blog (a characteristic I’m working on, that I promise you). Anyways, I am beyond surprised that I haven’t been going nuts these last couple of months when it comes to Baby Girl Mason. I’ve purchased the occasional graphic onesie from Old Navy (use code ONSAVENOW for 15% off! You’re welcome!) but I haven’t dropped more than a couple bucks on what I’m sure will be a very grand wardrobe. The way I see it, it will be summer in Arizona and I’ll have a newborn that will constantly spit up and poop so why bother with clothing? Of course she’ll be clothed when we leave the house, but other than the everyday onesie I’m not too worried about it.

With all that said, I’m still oohing and ahhing over these adorable pieces from Gap. Baby overalls, polka dots, and gingham? So freakin’ cute! I might have to do a little shopping for Baby Girl after all and with 25% off (with code GAPSUMMER) it won’t break my bank account too much.

With my birthday a mere week away (what?) I thought I would share some of the things that I’m currently lusting over. You might notice that I have a thing for accessories right now. It might have something to do with the fact that I refuse to try on clothing, but that’s neither here nor there. If only I weren’t on a shopping ban, I would buy myself each and every item above. If only…

Currently Craving: Nursery Edition

photo ccnurseryideas_zps563710b0.jpg

Now that we know that we’re expecting a baby girl come July, I’ve been brainstorming ideas for the nursery. I was sure that I didn’t want a traditionally girly room (ahem, pink) and wanted to think outside of the box as far as colors go. While browsing my local Target a couple weeks back I happen to spot this owl pillow and immediately fell in love! The colors are so fresh and mellow and the owl itself is adorable. I instantly knew this would be the inspiration for what the nursery would become. And that’s when it hit me - an enchanted forest themed nursery! I plan on taking on this DIY project via Secondhand Magpie for one of the walls, and want to incorporate hipster touches of chevron and polka dot accents around the room. I also want to display bird cages in one of the corners of the room, which I’ve already spotted at Ross for under $10!

I know it is a big project to take on, especially for a pregnant woman but a friend has already offered to help and I plan on taking her up on her offer. If you’re interested in taking a peek at some of ideas I’ve cultivated for the nursery feel free to head to my Pinterest! This board and this board have a ton of ideas for decorating and for pregnancy in general. And for friends and family back home, you know where I’m registered (ahem, Target and Babies-R-Us) so feel free to take a gander at what we’ll be needing once Baby Girl Mason has made her debut.
