A simple Sunday outfit for your Tuesday viewing pleasure.

The heat is on here in Arizona and this past Sunday we reached a whopping 98^°! The hubby and I ignored our growing To-Do list and opted for an air conditioned movie theater and iced cold margaritas. Well the margaritas were for him, I on the other hand sipped on H2O but a girl can dream, right?

While maxi skirts and dresses have easily become my go-to item du jour throughout my pregnancy they still seem to still trap some heat under all that fabric. Tip: knotting it at the side is the next best thing to airing yourself out and it gives you a chance to show off your footwear!

Bohemian Rhapsody

This past weekend was spent neglecting the my growing To-Do list and instead eating out, catching up on recorded DVR’d shows, and spending much needed quality time with the fella. We had a gorgeous weekend here in Phoenix and took full advantage by spending almost every minute soaking in the Vitamin D. On Saturday I opted for an easy, breezy maxi and a little flower power to bask in the beautiful Spring day. I think this outfit has a bohemian type of feel to it. All I’m missing is breaded headband, right?

Maxi-mum comfort

This past weekend I decided to weed through my closet and segregate all of my maxi dresses and skirts into their own little section for easy access. You see, I anticipate that maxi dresses will be a huge commodity to my S/S wardrobe. They’re just so eeeassyyy! No muss, no fuss. I’ve already contributed to my maxi collection with some adorable options via Shop Frankie’s, which were an easy sell as each was on major sale. SCORE! This denim jacket/maxi arrangement I sported on Tuesday will be my go-to combo for Spring, that’s for damn sure. I’ll probably substitute the jacket for a cardi or even a chambray button up to change things up every now and then.

3 Things

So I’m back with an outfit post! Not the most swoon worthy ensemble I’ve ever worn but definitely something I like and feel comfortable in. Please forgive me for my lack of inspiration and pizazz this week, I’m still on vacation time as you can tell by the maxi dress. To divert from the lackluster get-up let’s get to know each other! My favorite morning radio station here in Phoenix, John Jay and Rich, has this bit called 3 Things. Basically you share 3 things you’re obsessed with right now. The only caveat is that you can’t say family and/or significant others. That’s it! An easy way to get to know each other a little better. These are my 3 things:

1. Reading. The last couple of months I’ve been reading nonstop, specifically trilogies (The Hunger Games, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and most recently Fifty Shades of Grey). Next up: The Lost Symbol. Any other recommendations?
2. Copper jewelry. I seriously went overboard with the copper cuffs during my road trip, as you can tell by this outfit.
3. Blogging. I seriously love it. Reading blogs and finding new ones. Working on mine and trying to grow it.
