Mix and Match

IMG_3026.jpg

You know when you envision an ensemble and after putting it together you realize it doesn’t work? Yeah, that’s a tragic moment but fortunately for me this outfit didn’t fall victim to the for mentioned scenario. After getting this vintage dress altered to fit my taste I instantly knew how I would go about styling it. Print mixing isn’t for the faint of heart and if you’ve been following along for a while then you are well aware that I’ve become a print mixing fiend (seen here, here and here). There’s something about mixing and matching prints that gives me a rush! Dots, stripes and florals, oh my!

Polka Dot Peplum

Another day, another polka dot peplum top. Mind you, I was unaware of this obsession. And what’s more, remember this outfit? Yep. Polka dot peplum numbero tres. For a trend I was uncertain of I sure seem to have an affinity of peplum. Oh the fickle mind of a style blogger.

Is there a trend that’s given you a change of heart? Do share!

Fever

Look who’s back!?!?! ME! And I wanted to thank you all for the well wishes while I was away, but I’m happy to be back to the regularly scheduled blogging program! Yet the fever seems to still be running high but not on me, my friends. The Arizona heat seems to be sticking around for a little while longer, hence the bare arms and light colors. While it is now officially Fall, my neck of the woods hasn’t gotten the memo. Not cool Arizona, not cool!

Bang Bang

Notice anything different? I finally got my haircut! I obviously didn’t go too drastic with the length, just a miner trim, but the bangs make up for my cowardice. I decided on the jet black color at last minute too. I feel so refreshed and renewed, it’s funny. I also feel like the bangs require a more risqué and edgy outfit but I dressed myself pre haircut. The bold lip did the trick though for dinner and a movie with the fella. I think a total closet reorganization is in order, you know, to introduce my wardrobe to the bangs.
